Melody had wandered to the beach after her mom had taken Henry and Kaelyn out for dinner. It was times like this when she missed Lilly and Linda the most because they always seemed to know how she felt and could easily find a way to cheer her up. Life had just gotten so much harder since they were gone. "Why did you guys have to leave me here alone " Melody said as she looked up at the sky hoping they would hear her.

Kyle orbed onto the beach, making sure no one was around to see him. He sensed his daughter, and what she had to be feeling. He wasn't that busy, so he decided to spend some time with her. Since she was his biological daughter, she didn't hate spending time with him because he wasn't her real dad....like Henry and Kaelyn. He knew it was going to be hard, but he didn't expect it to be this hard. "Hey Mel" he said, stepping into stride with her.

Melody sat on the beach as hey dad came up beside her "I know mom had a tradition taking Kaelyn and Henry out before I was born, but what about me, why do I have to get left out because of a tradition? "If Lilly and Linda were here they wouldn't have left me out, they would have found a way to make me feel accepted".

Kyle looked at Melody. "I know sweetheart. I can understand your feelings. I get left out too because I'm not their dad, only their stepdad. Maybe this year it would be different" he said as he put his hand on her shoulder. He knew how hard it was for her to go through this, but at least she wasn't alone.

"Different how its the same every year except Lilly would always do something with me so I wouldn't feel so left out but this year its not the same because Lilly and Linda aren't here anymore, there is no one thats wants to hang with a pesky teenager, they all have better things to do".

"Well, I have nothing better to do than hang out with a pesky teenager" he said as he gave her a smile. "Don't worry, everything will work out in the end. I promise" he said, realizing he made a lot of promises, but kept every single one. No wonder he was made a Whitelighter.

Melody gave her dad a small smile. "Mom is so busy with magic school that I have barely seen her or spent any kind of time with her. Why does my life have to suck so much? It seems like I am the only one in this family that always seems to get left out of everything".

She orbed in around the beach, after she sensed to make sure no one could see her. She needed some time to relax so she'd come to the beach. She sighed a bit thinking about her parents, and her sisters, as well as David. She missed her family, she didn't have anybody but that's when she took a good look around, and spotted Melody with her dad, or at least that's what she thought. She walked over to Melody and smiled a bit. They'd met earlier so she was hoping that Melody might recognize her.

Melody looked up with a smile as she noticed her friend Katie. "Hey Katie, feel free to join us" Melody said with a smile at her new friend.

She smiled and made her way over to Melody, she was glad nobody had seen her orb in. She didn't want anyone to suspect her of being magical that, was in fact not magical. The last thing she needed was to be the reason magic got exposed. She didn't know who Melody was with, whether he was mortal or not She was worried as usual.
"Hey Melody, are you sure, because I don't want to interrupt."

"Uh nothing, I was just bored decided to stop trying to find David for a while because I have no new information, I told you about him didn't I? I know that you want to spend some time with your parents, Melody, I can see it on your face, at least you have yours. I don't have mine, since mine were...well murdered. I don't have any family left. I just came back from um down under actually..."

"So you still haven't gotten any leads on David yet, I thought you would have found a clue or something leading to where he could have gone".

"Nope not yet, but I don't know if I ever will seeing as who was last seen with him is now dead, so that's a dead end. I don't know, I am trying to relax and not worry so much but everytime I think I can just move forward, I keep finding myself being pulled back, it's....like he's haunting me or something."

"Was that the only lead you had, he couldn't have just vanished in thin air unless he was kidnapped or something". "Is any of his family around"?
