Keira walked over to the window of her and Kaelyn's room and sat down. She loved going there as it was like a little couch to sit by on the window, and she could see their street from there, and the surprisingly nice flowers at the front of their house considering the demon attacks and lack of time. Lilly had loved flowers, so they had always kept it nice there. She realised her position right now- two people she were normally close to was either upset or angry with her.
Melinda was angry enough to have used her powers. She couldn't believe Melinda would use her powers against her....and Keira's forcefeilds were screwing up as well. Melinda had in her anger thrown Keira alot harder than she had anticipated against a tree, after orbing them out of Devil's Market. Kaelyn...well Keira suspected she was angry though she looked more hurt. The fact she had slammed the door as she left the attic displayed the anger.
How could she be so stupid? She had nothing to do as on a Saturday afternoon her and Kaelyn normally went shopping, unless one of them had a date or were doing something else. She sighed and rested her head against the window frame.

Melody was walking by her sister and cousins room when she noticed Keira sitting there. She knocked on the door "are you ok" she asked poking her head in the door? Melody knew her cousin always hung with her sister and she found it strange that they weren't together now.

Keira turned her head away from the window as Melody walked into their room. "I'm alright..." she said, smiling at her youngest cousin. "It's just Kaelyn and Melinda are mad at me," she said. "And with good reason," she added.

"Why, whats wrong" Melody asked? She could tell just by looking that something was wrong. "Would you like to talk about it?

Keira gave Melody a small smile. She knew Melody felt...left out in the family so Keira tried to make her feel otherwise, but they didn't hang out enough so it didn't exactly work as it would've if it was Kaelyn. "Well Melinda orbed me and a friend out from devil's market because demons were after us- we had accidentily let out our witch powers- and my heart blinking," she told Melody. "And I yelled at her because I thought I could handle it, but then she got angry and threw me against a tree," she told her youngest cousin. Even as she recited it Keira realised it was a stupid argument.

"Have you talked to Melinda and Kaelyn? Tried to tell them how you feel? I'm sure they were just as upset as you were but blaming each other won't solve anything, you guys need to sit down and talk about what really happened tell how it made you feel. You guys are cousins and I know you aren't going to let a silly argument come between you, so talk to them and I guarantee that they feel exactly the same as you".

((OOC: Ok forget the Kaelyn part, i think that'll be considered resolved...you'll see why))
Keira sighed. "I don't know Melody...." It wasn't like Keira to do that. "Plus she's the one who smashed me into a three..." said Keira, who still had a scratch on her face to from that day. Melinda would have to apologize for that first..even if Keira yelled first.

Melody healed the scratch on Keira's face "look Keira I know you are upset with Melinda and I don't care who started it, the point is you two are cousins and friends you guys need to quit acting like little kids and get over it". "Me myself I don't think its worth ruining a friendship over, do you really want to give up your friendship with Melinda"?

"Thanks," said Keira when Melody healed her. "I know that and no I don't but she's bound to get over it soon," she said, as she didn't know Melinda for holding a grudge. "Because she'll be the one apologising," Keira added in a quiet voice stubbornly.

"Fine be that way, but we are going to straighten this mess out right now "Melinda will you come here for a minute" Melody yelled hoping her cousin would hear her?

"I don't think she's back from Magic School yet," said Keira smugly when no response came. In truth she was glad of that- she wasn't sure she wanted to talk to her cousin just yet.

"Well we'll settle it as soon as she gets back. You two are cousins and friends, its time to grow up and start acting like it. I would give anything to share the kind of bond you guys share with anybody. Every since the accident its as if I'm just on the outside looking in and in a family this big its hard to find a place to fit in when you are the youngest child in the family".

Keira gave Melody a fierce look which she only used when she wanted Melody to take her on seriously. "Melody, listen to me. It's time to quit that nonsense," she said in a firm voice. "Everyone in this house loves you more than you can ever imagine, especially your mom so I think it's horrible unfair of you to be this way," she said, not dropping her firm tone.
"You keep talking about me, and telling me to grow up. Don't forget I'm the older one, and I'm telling you to stop being selfish for your mom's attention and to understand her instead. Kaelyn and Henry understood her, that's the special bond they have together," said Keira her voice getting a touch gentler now. "If you want that, you have to learn how to be mature, to know what everyone else is going through and not just yourself."

"I'm not being selfish, I know what she is going through and I hate it, I wish there was something I could do so she won't suffer as much as she is. It is hard loosing someone you care about and me and Linda had a special bond and now she's gone. I'm sorry if I'm coming across as being selfish, thats not I how I intended to sound. I know you guys have your own life but being the youngest really sucks. Its like you are too young to do some things but to old for others so where do I fit in here, where is the middle ground"? I don't want to just barge in on you guys. "So believe me I do know what mom is going through".

"If that's how you're talking then no, you don't," said Keira forcefully. If Melody didn't talk to her for a while after this she didn't care- she just wanted her cousin to see sense, to be happy. "Everyone had that bond with Linda, everyone," said Keira who no longer cried when talking about her cousin and sister. "She was a special person, as was Lilly. They were the center of this home Melody," Keira reminded her. "But your mom...she was Linda's mother, and a mother always has a relationship with her daughter, all of her daughters, that nothing can prevent," she told Melody.
"She has that relationship with you. You're her youngest, she loves you no less than she loves Henry and Kaelyn. You just don't let her show it," said Keira, the firmness in her voice lost and instead replaced by a tone that told anyone she wouldn't lie about something like this. "There is no middle ground- you're not too young or too old for anything," Keira assured her.
