The winds on the beach blew strong this evening as the sun was already halfway gone over the horizon. The beach was completely empty because the wind way blowing as hard as it was. It was even causing some sand to lift off the ground, and blow around.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, a single golden orb appeared, descending from the sky. As it got almost to the ground, a blinding bright light came from the orb, and once the light disappeared, Zander was sitting down in the sand, no trace of the light or the orb left.
"Wow. It's so beautiful," he said lightly, his gaze staring in the direction of the sun, at the waters right in front of it, where the colors were reflecting and dancing around the skies. Zander was new in town and didn't really know anyone yet.. He let out a small sigh, it was awfully lonely being in a town where you didn't know anybody. But then again, he was used to being alone.

The beach wasn't so empty as Zander had thought, Kaelyn was already there. She use to come here all the time and her and Linda used to orb here when they were in trouble for playing some trick on Kyle. At first he could never tell the difference between them so it was fun to play their little twin tricks on him. She sighed as she watched the sun setting, it was beautiful she had to admit that but the world still seemed empty. When Linda had died it felt like half of her and died too.
She saw a bright light out of the corner of her eye, Well it wasn't hard to miss. She glanced over to see a guy sitting there, she hadn't seen him around before, She pushed some of her blonde hair behind her ear and went over to him. "Hey... Your lucky I was the only one around." She said with a small smile. "I'm Kaelyn."

Zander was so lost in the beauty of the sun, ocean, and sky that he didn't even notice another person on the beach. He didn't think anyone was there when he orbed there, but apparently he had mistaken himself. But her comment confused him slightly. It made him think that she was magic, but he couldn't be sure of that. Although he wasn't all too familiar with magic, he knew that exposure was a super bad thing. And he would never risk doing it.
He turned quickly to her, lifting a eyebrow lightly. "What do you mean?" He asked, somewhat quietly. He wouldn't just assume that she was magic because that could be another exposure risk. Maybe she didn't even see anything and she was just flirting with him, you never knew. "I'm Zander," he added a little louder than his first question.

She smiled, proberly her first real smile in ages. "I mean this." She said before holding out her hand and a flower materialized in her hand. So it was slight personal gain but she would deal with that later but it was the only way so could prove that she was magic. "Kaelyn Halliwell." She said hoping that her surname wouldn't make him show the same reaction that she got when other magical beings heard it. But she was used to it by now. She looked back at the sunset before looking at him.

Zander smiled brightly when Kaelyn made the flower materialize in her hand. He had never really just randomly met another magic person before, and he was lucky that it was now that he did. The only place he had been around other magical people were in places where everyone was magical, like the demonic marketplace.
The smile never faded from his face as he extended his hand to shake her's. "Nice to meet you Kaelyn," he said. The name Halliwell meant nothing to him because he was very new to magic. Though the books and everything that he had read about it mentioned Charmed One's, but never a name. So the name Halliwell didn't surprise him in anyway, it was just a normal last name.

"Nice to meet you." She smiled, well at least they could start from scratch. He didn't know everything there was to know about her like nearly all magical beings did when she mentioned her name. It gave them a very un-fair advantage. She shook his hand, maybe today wasn't going to be so bad after all. "How long you been in San Fransisco?"

A small smile spread over Zander's face as he couldn't decide whether to land his gaze on the ocean or Kaelyn. He felt that it might be rude if he just kept staring at her the whole time. She everytime that she would say something, he would turn his gaze to her. And now and then when he had something important to say his gaze would wander back over to her. "I just moved here last week actually," he said as his gaze continued to stare out into the endless waters.

"Last week? No wonder I haven't seen you around." She said and glanced at the horizen. The sea was always her favourite thing... to her it showed freedom. "Should get someone to show you around. Its a big city. Really easy to get lost." She said with a smile. "Not to mention theres loads to see..." It was a dangerous but also a really beautiful place espessically at night.

Zander smiled lightly. "I bet there is a lot to see, it looks like a nice place," he said lightly, keeping his gaze on the ocean. He kept staring at it for a few moments, then a thought popped into his head. It didn't surprise him that it did because he was always kind of into everything magic since he learned about it, he was very curious about it. He turned his gaze towards her, the smile gone because he felt kind of nervous asking this question. He hadn't been around magic people much, so he didn't know if it was rude to ask about their powers or not. "If you don't mind me asking... what powers do you have?" He asked very nervously.

"Orbing, Orb Attacking, Transmogrification, Materialization and...." She hated saying the last power as it was classed as a demonic power and if she lost control of her emotions it could be very dangerous espessically if she was evil. "Rage Oppression." She smiled weakly "What are your powers... if you don't mind me asking?" She added

Zander nodded lightly as she listed her powers. Wow, she had some pretty awesome powers. He would give a lot to have cool powers like that, but he didn't. At her last power his eyebrow lifted slightly. Now he wasn't all that familiar with magic, but it didn't sound like the nicest power in the world, but who was he to judge someone based on one power? He wasn't like that. Letting out a small sigh, Zander readied himself to list his measley powers. "Well, I have teleportation, golden orb, and thought projection," he said lightly. "You know, sometimes I feel like there may be more to me, but I have no idea why," he added.

"Hey I'm not proud of that power you know." SHe said to his reaction to her last power. It was the same reaction that she got off everyone when she said it. "Thought Projection? Wow that really rare." She said with a small smile "As my mum says everything happens for a reason. There proberly is something more your destined to do... fate has a funny way of working things."

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean that in a rude way," he said lightly as she snapped back about her Rage Oppression power. He didn't really mean anything bad by it, and he kind of felt bad that she may have been kind of hurt by it. As he was listening intently to what she had to say about him feeling like there may be more to it, she said the word destiny. When that single word came out of his mouth his whole body broke out his goosebumps and a shiver ran down his spine.

"Sorry... I have a short temper sometimes." She said weakly. She never used to, maybe it was just a side effect to her power. She was confused slightly at his reaction "Did I say something wrong?" He looked like he had seen a ghost.

Zander shook his head lightly. His eyes were wide and he brought them up to Kaelyn, an almost scared look could be found in them. "I don't know what that was... I think it happened right about when you said Destiny," he said lightly, his voice kind of shaky. He thought about what could be going on, it just didn't make sense. "Maybe I don't have a destiny... or maybe there is something complicated about it that it just wierd... what else could it be?" He asked. He really wanted to know what was going on now. He never remembered feeling like that before, but then again, he didn't really remember ever talking to anyone about his destiny before either.
