That crossbow was about to go for the kid's head. That wasn't the case though as something immediately shoved Shane's crossbow from his hands and it went to another part of the cavern. This Energy Wave power was rare and Shane hadn't ever come across it. After the kid Shimmered out to another part of the cavern, Shane listened to the kid's remark and smirked.
Obviously, Shane knew the kid wouldn't expect it.... but Shane disappeared... not in Black Orbs but in a odd kind of red light. After like four seconds after he disappeared, Shane reappeared behind the kid while he was stunned ny his form of disappearance and made a side kick for Derek's feet.

Derek raised an eyebrow as Shane disappeared in a red light. That was odd, he didn't know that he could do it. He saw the same red light appear again behind him, and he turned around as quickly as possible. But it wasn't quite soon enough to save him from falling over after getting his legs swept out from underneath him because of the kick. Once he was on the ground, his legs sprung up, and kicked straight out, going right for Shane's chest.

Shane felt a sort of triumph looking at the kid on the ground. On one hand, he was disappointed soon when the kid made a kick for his chest while on the ground. Then again, unfortunately for Derek, when it seemed like Shane was in pain from the kick, he grinned while looking pained and disappeared in a red light once again.

Derek didn't take time to gloat once the kick hit Shane. He quickly got back up and was ready to fight again, when it appeared Shane wasn't even hurt by it. He lifted an eyebrow, that seemed awfully like an Astral Projection, but with an Astral Projection, the person in real life didn't disappear, but they just went into a sleep-like state, while their Astral self roamed around. He searched in all directions for Shane, being ready for anything.

Shane woke up immediately behind the large boulder his temporarily lifeless body was hiding. His second Astral Projection disappeared and Shane decided to wake up to his real body. If he could be more offensive with his Projections..... he really needed to work on that. Well, at least the Bad Luck would soon kick in for a while; even after he leaves Shane and the cavern. Shane muttered out the word 'crossbow' and his crossbow appeared in his hands in Black Orbs. He quickly aimed for Derek over the boulder and let loose his Darklighter arrow. Soon, the single arrow transformed into three separate arrows; all heading for the soon-alarmed kid.

Derek took in a deep breath now. He knew what had to be done. But he was really nervous, because it was still awfully painful, but he knew to show Shane how powerful he was, that he needed to do this. Derek focused on the three arrows headed his way, and conjured fire onto them. The three blazing arrows pierced all the way through Derek's skin, and Derek's body exploded.
But only seconds later, little particles began swirling silently behind Shane. And almost instantly, they formed Derek's body.

Shane admired how the flames ensnared the oncoming arrows heading for Derek. Nice effect. Shane assumed it was bad luck and was a backfire on one of his unknown powers. As Shane practically grinned when the arrows made contact and the kid looked like he was gone for good, Shane Black Orbed from behind the boulder and reappeared in full view. Unfortunately, he was surprised when something odd was happening and was amazed when Derek's body reformed there on the spot. "Reconstitution??? That's a high-level and rare power..... this kid... is different," he thought to himself. Shane sighed while his crossbow disappeared in black smoke. "........ I see.."

A large smirk slid over Derek's face as he watched Shane's surprise when he saw him reform. He knew that doing that would get Shane to understand that he was no normal person. It always worked with demons, once you die and come back, they just get a little more scared of you than normal. "That's right," he said, arrogance present in his voice. His smirk never disappeared as he stared down Shane.

"Don't get too cocky kid..... but I guess i see you're no ordinary magical being." Respect. Shane was definitely the rare type to admit defeat, but not mostly, and see that there's no chance sometimes. "The name's Shane.............." he said; his position didn't change at all.

Derek smirked lightly, and sat down on one of the flatter rocks, directly behind him. "Derek," he said lightly. He hoped that Shane was smart enough to figure out that that was his name. He was glad that Shane finally stopped trying to fight him, because he already knew that Shane couldn't kill him, so why even try.

Shane sighed with his eyes closed immediately after the kid briefly introduced himself. He hated the fact that this kid had that certain power. With it, the cockiness would just annoy the Darklighter even more than the kid had already pissed Shane. Now that no fight would break, Shane knew for a fact it would be best. "What are uo doing down here anyway?" he questioned.

Derek shrugged lightly. "I don't know. Just for fun I guess," he said, smirking lightly. He used to spend loads of time in the Underworld, just to get anger out by killing random demons, or just to relax in one of the many empty caverns. Though today he did seem to be looking for a little of both of that. He had a lot on his mind, and he was quite angry at everything right now, so he did need to think, but using his powers in a fight didn't hurt either.

Shane sighed slightly looking at the kid. He wasn't mad at him for his reasons. In fact, when Shane was pissed about something, he would do the exact things. Damn.... he didn't like it one bit that they were alike. Now.. question was what now? Shane could go and unleash his full potential and try to beat the kid. Just because of that power didn't make it impossible to beat him. Or...... "Look... we both see it's pointless... so how about we just go?"

"If you insist," Derek said, shrugging lightly, a smirk on his face. He got up from where he sat, and was about to shimmer away when he had another idea. He would leave, but he was going to leave a nice little present for Shane here before he went. "Fires of the Underworld rise, enter this cavern as we say our goodbye's, turn on this man so full of evil, make it so there is no retrieval." Zander said, his voice raising with every line he spoke. The last line could have used a little bit of work, but he was hurrying because the temperature of the fire's coming was starting to hurt. As soon as the last word was out of his mouth, Derek shimmered out of the cavern.
